This tour offers you the good opportunity to explore the magnificent land of mountains, located in the heart of Central Asia. You will amaze seeing our nature, enchanting places, and unforgettable gorges! The whole route goes by the Great Silk Road passing through the towering Tian Shan massif. You will visit the world's second biggestalpine lake Issyk-Kul, as well as the divine Son Kul Lake, situated on an high plateau in the centre of Kyrgyzstan(3013m. a.s.l.). It will take you back to the time of legendary nomads with all their traditions and ethos.Tour summary:
Breakfast in hotel at 8 o'clock. Then you have time till 12 pm to enjoy pure and warm water in the lake. And then, you will start your drive to Karakol city by car (200 km). On the way, we will make a short break to visit ancient stone inscriptions (800 B.C.), including the local museum. You will have a second stop at 12 o'clock, where you can enjoy lunch in a relaxed atmosphere, before continuing our way to Karakol city by the sunny northern shore of the shining pearl of Central Asia, which's beauty you will prove during another break, where you go on a one hour cruise on a steam boat. Then you will be transmitted to Karakol city. National dinner will be at 8 p.m. Night in a Guesthouse.
Day 3: Karakol - Tamga
Breakfast at 8 o'clock. The entire morning is devoted to a guided Karakol City Tour. The tour includes the visit of the picturesque Dungan mosque, an old wooden Orthodox Church with a unique icon inside and the museum of M.V. Prejvalsky, one of the greatest explores of Central Asia. His the most important achievements were the crossing of the desert Taklamakan and the discovery of more than 4000 animals, including the Horse of Prejevalsky. We will end the City Tour with a delicious traditional lunch at 1 pm and leave Karakol, driving to the impressive Jeti Oguz, the gorge of 7 red rocks (30km). You will see the mountain with romantic name - Broken Heart Mountain and the Sanatorium (where you can take a hydro shower or get a massage). Then off to explore the Jeti Oguz valley (Yuri Gagarin's holidays house, yurts, alpine vegetation) or Chong Kyzyl Suu valley with its hot spring water and geophysics station built in 1948. Then transfer to Tamga village. Dinner will be served in the Tamga Guesthouse, where you will also spend the night; sauna optional.
Day 4: Tamga - Bokonbaiva - Kochkorka (120km)
After breakfast and to till 12 o'clock you have time to spent on beach or to explore the village of Tamga. After thatwe start our drive to Kochkorka village by car. We will stop in Bokonbaeva village, where lunch will be served in the hospitable house of a local eagle-hunter. He uses trained eagles to hunt hares and foxes (traditional way of nomads hunting). It is possible to arrange eagle hunting show. There will be continuation of our way to Kochkorka via the adorable Orto-Tokoi water reservoir. At the Kochkorka village you will meet a family that shows you the way of producing traditional felt carpets. You even can create your own carpet. You will have a traditional dinner with a local family. Overnight in the Kochkor Guesthouse.
Day 5: Kochkorka - Son Kul Lake
After breakfast we start our drive to the second biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan Son Kul Lake. Lunch will be taken on the way. Son Kul Lake is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan (3013 meters a.s.l.) it surrounded by picturesque mountains. Since ancient times Kyrgyz nomads used this wonderful area to graze their cattle. After our arrival, you will be free to have a rest and enjoy the unsullied nature of the lake . Dinner and overnight will be in traditional nomadic dwellings - yurts. A yurta is unchangeable nomad's dwelling. It is made of a wooden skeleton and covered by felt. Kyrgyz people live in yurts since the very ancient times till nowdays.
Day 6: Son Kul (3013m. a.s.l.)
At 9 am is your breakfast. Free time at shores of Son-Kul Lake, that you can use to explore its nature on your own. You can ride along the lake on a local strong and well trained horse, or just relaxing in the yurt camp watching everyday life of nomads. Lunch will be served at 2 pm. Then you will see ancient petrogliphs and ritual stones. You will spend the night in yurts.
Day 7: Son Kul - Bishkek
You will have breakfast at 8 o'clock. And we move back to Bishkek city (the capital of Kyrgyzstan). There in green shady Bishkek you will have a guided city tour including lunch. You will visit the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others nice and interesting places You will have a separate program, listing all places visited including a brief explanation. At 7 pm a farewell dinner is served. Night in a Hotel****.
Day 8: Bishkek - Europe
Your guide will pick you up from your Hotel transmit to Manas International Airport at the time arranged previously.
