Kyrgyzstan biking: Tour 1

For those travelers, who want to bicycle in the country of the heavenly mountains and at the same time to visit the places of interest, we are ready to offer cycling tour. There is great variety of landscapes and you will be amazed by rapidly changeable views on your way.You will enjoy your traveling in Kyrgyz Republic because this country is marvelous place for biking.  

Places to visit: Bishkek - Naryn town - Tash Rabat caravanserai - Moldo village - Son Kul lake - Kyzyl Korgon canyon - Bishkek city     

Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You will be picked up in the International Airport of Manas and accompanied to Bishkek (the capital city of Kyrgyz Republic). The drive from the Airport to Bishkek will take 30 minutes. On arrival you will start the day with a breakfast. You will be accommodated in the hotel***, which is situated in the tranquil area of the city, after that you will have a rest. This day you will have an excursion to Ala-Archa Natural Park. The Park of Ala - Archa is situated on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), in the Ala-Arch Gorge, 45 km. south Bishkek. In order to have a nice view of this famous gorge you will ascend on the top of the mountain. Transfer back to Bishkek City. At 7 p.m. dinner will be served. You will spend this night in the hotel***.  

Day 2: Bishkek - Naryn Town
We will be transferred to Kichi-Naryn Village (2351m. alt.) after breakfast and you will cycle down to the confluence of Naryn and Kichi-Naryn Rivers.  You will ride to the town of Naryn (2050 m. a. s. l.) along Naryn River. The road to Naryn will surprise you with its beauty and amazing mountains. The whole way will be along incredible gorges and you will have many stops for taking photos. This day is easy one. Lunch will be on the road. Naryn town is situated very close to the mountains, at the altitude of 2800 meters a. s. l.  Naryn was built right along the gorge near the longest river in Kyrgyzstan - Naryn; it is long and narrow town. You spend this night in yurts, as nomads do. Yurts are nomadic collapsible habitations that are made out of wood without using a single nail and covered with felt.  

Day 3: Transfer or Ride Naryn - Tash Rabat caravanserai (130 km)
This day you can ride or be transferred from Naryn town to the Great Silk Road Tash Rabat Caravanserai. Its construction refers to the 14th century A. D. Tash Rabat is situated at the altitude of 3200 m. above sea level, in the very heart of Tian Shan Mountains. This building has no analogue in the world. It was constructed out of stones and beside that it was partly built inside the mountain. Totally there are 31 rooms, which are joined with mazes. There are also dungeons for medieval culprits. The walls width of is about one meter. This night you will spend nearby the Tash Rabat Caravanserai in yurts. Yurts are nomadic habitations that are made out of wood without using a single nail and felt.  

Day 4: Ride (86 km) Tash Rabat - Moldo village
Early morning breakfast. Pack your backpacks. Afterwards we will ride from Tash Rabat to the Village of Moldo along the Naryn Valley. This way was used at the time of Great Silk Road by the ancient traders. From China, on camels and horses thousand of merchants with their goods were passing there. It is a nice chance to feel that you ride along the same way. This ride is of moderate complexity by the asphalt road. Overnight stay is in the tent camp, at the altitude of 1670 meters above sea level.  

Day 5: Moldo village - Son Kul Lake
This day you can ride or be transferred, according to your wish, (60 km) from Moldo village over the Kurtka Pass (3243m. alt.) to the 2^nd biggest lake in Kyrgyz Republic - Son Kul. Son Kul Lake is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan that situated at the altitude of 3016 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by the mountains. Shepherds of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as grassland.  The Kyrgyz nomads with their families started to come to this wonderful area for rest and relaxation. The first part of cycling to the gorge entrance is with a slight descent and easy. We will enter a narrow gorge with high sharp rock walls; in some places up to 200 m. through a narrow spot. Here a steep ascent to the pass begins. The descent is easier and shorter. You will be free to walk around and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its environs after our arrival. Dinner. Overnight stay (3016 m. alt.) is in the collapsible nomadic dwellings - yurts. 

Day 6: Son Kul Lake
This day you will have enough free time in the Kyrgyz paradise, at Son Kul Lake. You will have an excellent opportunity to explore Kyrgyz nature and lifestyle on your own. It is a great opportunity to familiarize with nomadic culture and traditions. Optionally, you can ride on a horse along the lake or just relax in the atmosphere of the wild, but calm nature. We will walk among the Tian - Shan Mountains where every nomad invites you to his yurt to try national staple drink made of mare's milk - kymis.  You will spend this night in tent camp.

Day 7: Ride Son Kul Lake - Kyzyl Korgon Canyon (80km)
Breakfast. After that we will visit the site of sacred stones with ancient inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). After that we leave Son Kul Lake and cycle to the Valley of Djumgal through the Pass of Kara Keche (3381m). Upon arrival we will have a walk in the district of red canyons, high mountains, snow peaks and rocks. Overnight will be spent in the tent camp.  

Day 8: Ride Kyzyl Korgon - Bishkek city
We will drive to Bishkek City in the morning. You will be carried away by the remarkable sceneries offered through views of wild natural world. You will have free time in the city to go shopping and to walk. You will have a dinner in a restaurant in the evening. You will spend this night in the hotel***.  

Day 9: Bishkek
This morning we will have Osh bazaar excursion. You will walk and bargain there for different goods. After visiting Osh Bazaar we will have a city tour. This sightseeing tour includes the visiting of many interesting places, such as: National philharmonic, Central Ala-Too Square, the History Museum, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square) and the Museum of Fine Arts. At 7 o'clock in the evening a farewell dinner will be served. Overnigth stay is in the hotel***.  

Day 10: Transfer to the airport
At the time arranged previously according to the details of your flight your guide will meet you in the hotel and accompany you to the Airport.
