Kyrgyzstan biking: Tour 2

Kyrgyz Republic is famous for mountain biking tours and now you also can take an opportunity to travel there. Kyrgyzstan is waiting for you if you like biking tours! There is a bike tour that you will definitely like. You will be biking along gorges and Mountain Rivers to see our virgin nature and the views of remarkable landscapes. This tous includes the most famous mountain roads of the republic. 

Places to visit: Bishkek - Son Kul lake - Kyzyl Korgon canyon - Kyrk-Kyz pass - Ter Jailak pass - Toluk village - Toktogul village - Bishkek city    

Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You will be collected by your guide from Manas International Airport and accompanied to Bishkek (the capital of Kyrgyzstan). The drive from the Airport will take half an hour. After accommodation in the hotel*** that is located in a calm area of the city you will have a rest and then start the day with a breakfast. After that you will have an excursion to Ala-Archa Natural Park that is situated on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), 45 km south Bishkek, in the Ala-Arch Gorge. To have a nice view of this famous gorge you will go on the top of a mountain. Drive back to Bishkek. At 7 p.m. traditional dinner will be served. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.  

Day 2: Bishkek - Son Kul Lake
This day you will be transferred over the Kurtka Pass (3243m. alt.) to the 2^nd biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan Son Kul. Son Kul Lake is surrounded by mountains and it is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan, situated at an altitude of 3016 meters above sea level. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a pastureland. Kyrgyz nomads started to come to this wonderful area with their families for rest and relaxation. The first part of cycling to the gorge beginning is easy with a slight descent. There is a narrow spot where we will enter a narrow gorge with high sharp rock walls, in some places up to 200 m. A steep ascent to the pass begins here. Descent is easier and shorter. You will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its environs after our arrival. Dinner. Overnight stay (3016 m. alt.) is in the collapsible nomadic abodes - yurts. Yurt represents a wooden carcass, covered with thin felt mats. 

Day 3: Son Kul Lake
Today we have free time in the Kyrgyz paradise after long bicycle journey. You will have an exceptional chance to explore Kyrgyz nature and lifestyle on your own. You can relax in the atmosphere of wild and calm natural world or ride on a horse along the lake's shore. It is a great chance to familiarize with nomadic customs and way of life. It is without doubt that at the Son Kul nomads will invite you to their yurts to taste a piece of bread and to drink kumis- traditional staple drink made of mare's milk. In tents you will spend this night.

Day 4: Ride Son Kul lake - Kyzyl Korgon canyon (80km)
We will ride after breakfast in the sanctified stones direction. These are ancient (dating back to 800 B.C.) carvings on the stones. After visiting the petroglyphs site we leave Son Kul Lake and ride through Kara Keche pass (3381m) to the Djumgal Valley. It is a. Upon arrival we will have a walk in the region of red canyons, high mountains, snow peaks and rocks.  Overnight stay is in the tent camp.  

Day 5: Ride Kyzyl Korgon - Kyrk-Kyz pass 3223m
This day we will pass near Kizil Oi (Red Canyon) Village and we will see rocks of different colors, unbelievable panoramic views and summer pastures of the Kyrgyz nomads. On the way to the village you will see outstanding red canyons, which are absolutely different from other mountains in Kyrgyz republic. Travelers are always impressed with the beauty of these places and all of them want to return there one more time. Kizil Oi is a small poor village in the mountains. You will have time to walk there and to see the life of Kyrgyz people in the countryside. Night will be spent in the tent camp.  

Day 6: Ride Kyrk-Kyz pass - Ter Jailak pass 2446m - Toluk village (50km)
This day route will be difficult. En route we will meet many Kyrgyz herdsmen on their summer pastures. They come to this place even these days and you can see their nomadic way of life. It will be possible to try national drink kumis that is made of fermented mare's milk. Kumis has really specific taste.  The Kyrgyz nomads always glad to communicate with foreign visitors and they are very hospitable. You could see their felt dwellings and ask them about their life. Overnight is in tents.  

Day 7: Ride and transfer to the Toktogul village
Breakfast. After that we start our cycling. The road has a plenty of incredible landscapes and you will never forget them. It becomes evident when you are there that the best creation in the world nature. Our chauffeur will drive behind us. Lunch and transfer to the Village where we can take a shower. Optionally we can drive to the artificial lake. Free time for leisure. We will spend this night in the home stay.   

Day 8: Transfer to Bishkek city
We will drive in the morning to Bishkek. Through the views of the untouched nature you will be carried away by the amazing sceneries. Upon arrival in Bishkek you will have free time to go for shopping and to walk. At 8 o'clock in the evening you will have a dinner in a café. You will spend this night in the hotel***.  

Day 9: Bishkek
This morning we will have Osh bazaar excursion. You will walk and bargain there for different goods. After visiting Osh Bazaar we will have a city tour. This sightseeing tour includes the visiting of many interesting places, such as: National philharmonic, Central Ala-Too Square, the History Museum, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square) and the Museum of Fine Arts. At 7 o'clock in the evening a farewell dinner will be served. Overnigth stay is in the hotel***.  

Day 10: Transfer to the airport
According to the details of your flight you will be transferred to Manas Airport.
