If you want to explore really wild places, we want to present you a biking tour that takes place in the mountains of celestial Kyrgyz Republic. It is an ideal opportunity to feel the nature, because you will ride your bike in places that are so distant from civilization. The way will be passing through untouched mountain gorges where it is still possible to meet genuine nomads. You will see yurts - nomadic felt dwellings, on the way. The owners of these mountain houses will invite you for a cup of tea or kumis (traditional staple Kyrgyz drink).
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You will be collected from the International Airport of Manas by your guide and accompanied to the capital of Kyrgyz Republic - Bishkek City. Drive from the Airport takes half an hour. You will start the day with a nice breakfast. You will be accommodated in the hotel*** that is located in the calm area of the city. After that you will have a rest. Today you will have an excursion to Ala-Archa Natural Park, which is situated on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), 45 km. from Bishkek, in the Gorge of Ala-Archa. To observe this famous gorge you will ascend on the top of the mountain. Drive back to Bishkek City. Your dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.
Day 2: Bishkek - Tamchi village
This day will be destined for cycling via Keuk Ayrik pass to the Lake of Issyk Kul. The lake's nickname is "Central Asian Treasure". Owing to the salty water, Issyk Kul possesses curative properties. Lunch will be taken on the Pass of Keuk Ayrik. After that we will commence our biking down the pass. In Sary Oi Village our chauffeur will meet us. We will be transferred to Tamchi Village. The Village of Tamchi is found on the northern shore of the lake. Issik - Kul is the 2nd world's biggest mountain lake (1608meters. a. s. l.). The night will be spent in the guesthouse.
Day 3: Transfer Tamchi - Kochkor - Sarybulak
We start our trip by car in the morning. Our way passes via Orto Tokoi water reservoir to Kochkor village. You will meet a family in the Kochkor Village that shows you the way national felt carpets are created. During this felt show you even can create your own carpet together with them. In Kochkor Village you will also visit Kyrgyz museum of handicrafts. After that we will ride to Sary Bulak village (2310 m. alt., 38 km) by the asphalt road. Transfer (7 km, 2390m. alt.) by bike on dirt road to confluence of Biulioomiu and Kara-Kudjur Rivers. Night is in the tent camp.
Day 4: Ride by bike to the foot of Jalpak pass (58 km, 3345 m)
Today we are going to ride to the foot of Jalpak pass. It is an amazing place that will take you away. You will see many amazing mountain views along the whole way. This place is quite far from the civilization and you can enjoy its beauty to the full. The ride is of moderate difficulty on dirt road in satisfactory condition. Landscape in the gorge is similar to tundra. You will be surprised by the variety of mountains views on the way. Overnight is in tents.
Day 5: Ride to the Jalpak Pass (3345m. alt.) - Dzhylangach River
You will ride to the high Jalpak Pass in the morning. Then we will descend down (25 km) to the Valley of Korumdu, following the way that leads to Kara Saz Region till the River of Dzhylangach (the confluence of Dzhylangach and Balgart Rivers that form the River of Kichi-Naryn). You will have a free time after lunch. From this place you could see the peaks of Kara-Kaman, Burkan and Archaly, which have glacial forms: flat slopes and smooth tops. The lower parts are hilly and covered with loose rock, especially along Balgart River left bank. In the gorge landscape is similar to tundra. Overnight stay is in the tent camp, at the altitude of 2648 meters above sea level.
Day 6: Ride (58 km) Dzhylangach - Kichi-Naryn
This day riding is on the dirt road along the River of Balgart and Kichi - Naryn River. Easy day for cycling. Near Kichi - Naryn River we will spend this night in the forest, in tents. Shepherds with all their relatives were coming to this region. As a big family, all of them were going from one place to another with a great amount of livestock. Among the nomads this place is well-liked since ancient times. Some Kyrgyz big tribes could comprise about 1000 yurts. The Kyrgyz nomads like to meet travelers and they are very friendly.
Day 7: Ride (63 km) Kichi-Naryn - Naryn town
Breakfast. After that we cycle down to the village of Kichi-Naryn (2351m. alt.). It is situated 4 km. away from Kichi-Naryn and Naryn rivers confluence. You will cycle along the River of Naryn to Naryn town (alt. 2050 m. a. s. l.). The road to Naryn will stun with the splendor of its amazing mountain views. You will have many photo stops, because the whole way will be along incredible gorges. This day is an easy one. We will have lunch on the road. Cycling is by the main road. The town of Naryn is situated 2800 meters above the sea level and it has mountains very close to the town. It was built right along the gorge near the longest river in Kyrgyz republic - Naryn; it is long and narrow town. As nomads, this night you spend in yurts.
Day 8: Transfer to Bishkek city
We will drive in the morning to Bishkek. Through the views of the untouched nature you will be carried away by the amazing sceneries. On arrival in Bishkek you will have free time to go for shopping and just to walk. At 8 o'clock in the evening you will have a dinner in a café. This night you will spend in the hotel***.
Day 9: Bishkek City
This morning we will visit famous Osh Bazaar, where you will walk and bargain for different goods. After visiting Osh bazaar you will have a city tour. This sightseeing tour comprises the visiting of Ala-Too Central Square, the Museum of the Kyrgyz History, Oak Park (Duboviy Park), the Kyrgyz Museum of Fine Arts, Victory Square (Pobeda Square), National Concert Hall and many other interesting places and monuments. Overnight stay is in the hotel***. At 7 o'clock in the evening a farewell dinner will be served.
Day 10: Transfer to the Airport
According to your flight details you will be collected from the hotel and accompanied to the Airport of Manas.
