For many centuries nomads have been appreciating their horses. There are many traditions and customs that are connected in their life and culture with horses. Almost all Kyrgyz festivals and celebrations are accompanied with games on the horses. It is difficult to imagine the life of the nomad in the mountains without horse. During this tour you also can ride a horse in the places that are hidden from other people and remote from busy cities and towns. You will ride it as if you are in the past times, like you are a medieval traveler. You start to feel the taste of life and you understand - the best architecture in the world is the Mother Nature! The feeling of riding a horse in the mountains is amazing!

Tour summary:  

Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley
You will be met by your guide in the International Airport of Manas and accompanied to Bishkek City (30 min. drive). In Bishkek, after having breakfast, the entire day will be devoted to a guided Bishkek City Tour, including lunch.  During this sightseeing tour  we will visit  the central Ala-Too Square, Oak Park (Duboviy Park), Victory Square (Pobeda Square), the History Museum, National Concert hall and the monument of Manas (legendary hero of the Kyrgyz people), Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many other places that provoke your interest. Transfer to Chon Kemin valley to the Guesthouse of Kalmak-Ashuu, where you also will spend overnight. On the way, we will visit the Burana Tower -minaret of the 11 century and its attached Balbans (stone warriors) open air museum. Your dinner will be served at 7 pm.  

Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga
At 7 o'clock breakfast is served. After breakfast, it will be 6 hours drive from Chon - Kemin to Tamga Village (380 km.) along the southern shore of  Issyk-Kul Celestial Lake(1608m.above sea level), which is the 2nd largest mountain lake in the world. This Lake is also known as "The pearl of Tien - Shan". Your dinner will be served in the Guesthouse of Tamga, where you will also spend this night. 

Day 3: Tamga - Chong Kyzyl Suu
After a strengthening breakfast we will start our (70 km.) journey to the exciting Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley by car. Next, you will start your (5hours) horseback riding tour along the Terskey mountain Range. En route, you will see red sandstone mountains in different fantastic shapes, just before we visit Jeli Suu thermal mineral springs, where you will have the possibility to take a bath in hot springs water. Then, 1 hour horseback riding tour to the Chong Kyzyl Suu Physical and Geographical Station. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in the yurt camp. A yurta is an original nomad's house, collapsible dwelling that is built without nails. It that is made of a wooden skeleton that is covered by felt.

Day 4: Chong Kyzyl Suu - pass Karatakiya - Gorge Kitchi Kyzyl Suu
You will have a horseback riding to the gorgeous Karatakia gorge after breakfast. We will ride over the Karatakia Pass. You will take a strengthening lunch. Afterwards you will have horseback riding down to the valley of Kitshi Kyzyl Suu (6h). Enjoy the views of this marvelous Valley. This is a place where you could try the Kyrgyz national drink (fermented mare's milk) - kumis. At 7 p.m. dinner is served. Night is in tent camp. 

Day 5: Kitchi Kyzyl Suu - gorge Jukutchak
After breakfast you will start horse riding to Kashka-Tor pass (3937m above sea level). Afterwards you will ride a horse through the stunning red canyon. On the way you will come across the red cave that is called "500 rams" and there is also a mountain waterfall. You will have your lunch at the bottom of the waterfall. The waterfall is situated not far from hot springs (40 degrees Celsius) that are also possible to visit if you wish. After having a rest we continue our way to Jukutchak valley. Dinner is served at 8 p.m. Night in tents. 

Day 6: Gorge Jukutshak - gorge Ashu-Kashka Suu
At 8 o'clock your breakfast will be served. After breakfast there is a rise on horses to Ashu-Tor Pass (3636m. above sea level). En route you will see a mountain cascade and also you can take a bath with thiocyanogen water in the sauna. After having lunch you will go on your (6h) horse riding down to Ashu-Kashka Suu Gorge. At 8 p.m your dinner will be served. Overnight is in tent camp. 

Day 7: Ashu-Kashka Suu Gorge - Kashka-Suu Lake
8 o'clock breakfast. Packing your backpacks. Today we will have an ascent on horses to (3891m.) Kashka-Suu Pass, where you will take a lunch. Then you will ride your horse for 6 hours to the Kashka-Suu Lake that finds its origin in a glacier, that is why the water in the lake is so pure and gleaming. This mountain lake is situated at the altitude of 3800 meters a. s. l. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Overnight in tent camp.

Day 8: Lake Kashka-Suu - river Kumtor (3012m.)
Fortifying breakfast. After that you will start your six hours horse riding to Kumtor River. Kumtor River is the most famous place for gold diggers. Even in nowadays there are some people who try to find gold there.  You will ride among the Mountains of Ak - Shirak, which have snow even in summer. You will be surprised by the changeable weather. It can change from summer heat to winter snow within 20 minutes. At 7 p.m. dinner will be served. You will spend the night near the Central Tien Shan Observatory in tent camp. 

Day 9: Kumtor - Arabel Suu
We start our day with a breakfast at 8 o'clock. After breakfast you will ride your horse for 5 hours along Arabel Suu River. After having traditional lunch, we will keep on to the mountain lakes valley. There is the valley of 8 lakes. They are situated nearby each other and you could see all of them. It makes unforgettable feelings to walk there. Dinner and overnight are in tents near Arabel Suu River. 

Day 10: Arabel Suu - Chokoli Lakes (3006m.)
At 8 o'clock you will be served with your breakfast. After breakfast there is a continuation of horseback riding to the Lakes of Chokoli. You will visit a glacier not far from the mountain lake. Also with a bit of luck you can notice Marco Polo sheep and ibexes. At 7 p.m. dinner will be served. You will spend the night near the lake in tents.

Day 11: Chokoli Lakes - Bishkek (by car) 
After packing your backpacks, you will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock. Then you will be transferred to Bishkek city by car. You will arrive in Bishkek in a Hotel*** at around 5 pm, where you will have time for yourself until your pick up at 7 pm. Then you will have a farewell dinner in a restaurant.  

Day 12: Flight home
At the pick up time arranged previously according to your flight details your guide will meet you at the hotel and accompany you to Manas International Airport.
