Since ancient times horses played a vital role in the nomad's life. There is a Kyrgyz saying "Horses are men's wings". It was impossible to survive without a horse in our mountainous country. During the tour you get acquainted with Kyrgyz traditions, try the national drink Kumis (mare's milk) and delicious dishes. At the same time you will be riding a horse like a nomad along the Great Silk Road.

 

Tour summary:  

Day 1: Bishkek - Chong Kyzyl Suu
You will be met by your guide in Manas International Airport and accompanied to Bishkek City. The drive from the airport will take half an hour. Upon arrival in Bishkek you will start the day with a breakfast. After breakfast, you will start your trip by car to Chong Kyzyl Suu. We will drive alongside the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake (1608m.above sea level) southern shore, which is second largest mountain lake in the world. The Lake is also known as "The treasure of Central Asia". After that you will start your horseback riding tour to the Geographical and Physical Station. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in yurts. "Yurta" is a unique nomad's abode. It is made of a wooden carcass, which is covered with felt mats. It is a collapsible habitation that is manufactured without single nail.

Day 2: Chong Kyzyl Suu - gorge Kitchi Kyzyl Suu
You will have a horseback riding to the gorgeous Karatakia gorge after breakfast. You will ride over the Karatakiya Pass. Take a strengthening lunch and enjoy the marvelous views of the Pass. Afterwards you will have horseback riding down the Pass to the valley of Kitshi Kyzyl Suu (6h). Kichi Kyzyl Suu is the place where you can test Kumis (fermented mare's milk) - Kyrgyz national staple drink. Dinner is served at 7 p.m. Overnight is in tent camp.  

Day 3: Kitchi Kyzyl Suu - gorge Ashu-Kashka Suu
Your breakfast will be served at 8 o'clock. Afterwards there is an ascent on horses to the pass Ashu-Tor (3636m above sea level), on the way you will see a mountain waterfall and also you can take a bath in the sauna with thiocyanogen water. After taking lunch you will keep on your horse riding down in the gorge of Ashu-Kashka Suu (6h). Your dinner will be served at 8 p.m. Night in tents.  

Day 4: Ashu-Kashka Suu Gorge - Kashka-Suu Lake
Your breakfast is at 8 o'clock in the morning. You will have an ascent on horses to the pass Kashka-Suu (3891m.) after packing your backpacks. On the Kashka - Suu Pass you will take lunch. After lunch you will ride your horse to the Kashka - Suu Lake (6h). This high mountain lake situated at an altitude of 3800 meters above sea level. Kashka - Suu Lake finds its origin in a glacier that is why the water is so sparkling and pure. At 7 p.m. dinner is served. Night is in tent camp.  

Day 5: Lake Kashka-Suu - river Kumtor (3012m.)
Breakfast. Today we have 6 hours riding to the River of Kumtor through the Ak Shirak Mountains, which are covered with snow even in summer. Kumtor River is the most famous place for gold diggers. Even in nowadays there are some people who tries to find gold there. The weather can change from summer heat to winter snow within 20 minutes. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. You will spend the night in tents near the Central Tien - Shan Observatory. 

Day 6: Kumtor - Chokoli Lakes (3006m.)
Breakfast will be served at 8 o'clock in the morning. After breakfast there is a continuation of horseback riding to the Lakes of Chokoli. You will visit the glacier not far from the mountain lake. Probably you can notice Marco Polo sheep and ibexes. At 7 p.m.  dinner will be served You will spend near the lake the night in tent camp.

Day 7: Chokoli Lakes - Bishkek (by car)                                
After packing your backpacks, you will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock. Then you will be transferred to Bishkek city by car. You will arrive in Bishkek in a Hotel*** at around 5 pm, where you will have time for yourself until your pick up at 7 pm. Then you will have a farewell dinner in a restaurant.  

Day 8: Flight home
At the pick up time arranged previously according to your flight details your guide will meet you at the hotel and accompany you to the International Airport of Manas.
